Expanded from 4-cavity to 8-cavity using the same size molding machine, achieving a cycle time of 5 seconds with a 280t molding machine. The conventional 220t mold for CD cases, which had a cycle time of 8 seconds, has dramatically improved productivity to 8-cavity 280t with a cycle time of 5 seconds in our specifications. Additionally, by transitioning from the conventional cold runner structure (22 seconds) to a fully hot runner system, we have achieved high-speed molding in 15 seconds. This contributes to reducing runner waste and supports high cycle production. The "Confirmation TRY Mold" from Fuji Seiki has six molding machines ranging from 75t to 650t in-house, and conducts pre-TRY with actual injection for all molds. By completing mass production preparations during the prototype stage, from setting molding conditions to appearance evaluation, we achieve immediate startup and production stabilization after delivery. The maximum mold size can accommodate up to 1000mm. While based on 280t class molds, we can flexibly handle small to large parts. ■ Benefits of In-House Prototyping: TRY verification is conducted on all molds using in-house molding machines. All processes from mold operation, appearance evaluation, to setting molding conditions are completed in-house. Verification can be performed in a real environment close to the target cycle. Molds are fundamentally based on uniform cooling and simultaneous cooling, but it is important to modify the cooling circuits according to the product shape (such as areas with thick sections). We would like to introduce our molds that reduce maintenance costs. As a "gas venting measure for plastic molds," we install appropriate air vents and air grooves according to the resin used and the shape, achieving a structure with high gas venting efficiency. We also consider the balance of protrusions after molding, setting clearances for each resin, and selecting appropriate steel materials and surface treatments for parts that operate and slide to ensure corrosion and wear resistance, implementing "wear and galling measures." Additionally, we conduct "in-house heat treatment" for the purposes of suppressing aging changes, improving wear resistance, and stabilizing hardness.
